Event: The April 13, 2020, United Airlines flight #155 to Honolulu is fully booked now. Passengers may still purchase a ticket on stand-by. Seats remain available on the April 14, 2020, United Airlines flight #154 to Guam. American citizens wishing to depart the FSM should make every effort to book United flight #155 or flight #154 on April 13 or 14, 2020, respectively. The Embassy does not have any information about future island hopper flights at this time. The Department of State has issued a Global Level 4 Health Advisory for COVID-19.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a Level 3 Global COVID-19 Outbreak Notice. On March 11, the Department of State authorized the voluntary departure of non-emergency U.S. Government employees and all eligible family members due to stringent travel restrictions that affect commercial flights. Embassy Kolonia remains open and staffed and Mission personnel are following United States and FSM government recommendations regarding social distancing and avoiding large gatherings.
